When you create your Skip account, update your payment method, or start a ride, you may see a pending transaction on your payment method. This isn't an extra charge, but a temporary authorization we use to verify your payment method.
Depending on the payment method used, the amount of the authorization may vary. If you used a pre-paid card, you will see a $10.00 pending transaction. For all other payment types, you will see a $1.00 pending transaction.
This is an authorization, not a charge. Like other companies, Skip uses temporary authorizations to confirm your payment method. The authorization will never actually process but may show as "pending" on your bank statement.
